Introduction
Mormonism is a term used in reference to the doctrines and beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Its members are often called Mormons because they believe The Book of Mormon is scripture like the Holly Bible.
What if you knew that Jesus Christ visited man in the 19th century and restored His church to the earth?
What if you knew there was a living prophet who leads Christ's church today?
I'm not talking about remnants of the church after the Apostles died or a break off of another Christian sect. I'm talking about the actual organization that Jesus Christ set up when he walked the earth.
Wouldn't you want to share this good news? I do and that's why I created this website.
There is a lot of misinformation about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or "Mormons" on the Internet. For example, did you know there is no religion named "The Mormon Church?" "Mormons" is just a nickname for members of The Church. This website will help clear up some of the false and misleading information about The Church. Most misinformation comes from rumors spread by people who've never set foot in one of the Church's meetinghouses or cracked open the cover of The Book Of Mormon. Other myths are created by former Church members who have an axe to grind. In order to justify leaving the Church (by choice or excommunication) some of them try to convince themselves, and others, that the Church's doctrine is false.
But think about this. If you required medical treatment who would you go to for information:
A licensed, practicing medical doctor?
Or a medical school dropout?
I'm not an official Church spokesman and I don't claim to know it all but I do know enough to testify of Jesus Christ and his gospel. I'm also a "licensed", practicing member of Christ's church which has been restored to the earth in its fullness.
But don't take my word for it. Study for yourself and then ask God.
Constructive feedback is appreciated.
This is not an official Church web site. It is created and maintained by Mark Peterson, who is not an official representative of the Church.
